We are making good progress towards Panama and closing on the fleet. Having made such good progress, along with a very quick fuel stop, means there is some chance, if we turn the boat around and re-provision in a day, that we can start Race 12 with everyone else. This is the outcome that everyone wants so that's really good for the team. It also means that whilst we won’t quite have time to relax here we'll get an extra day in Bermuda.
This all relies on us arriving by early morning on June 1, which we are just about on schedule to do, and the Race Office working with the Panama Canal transit authorities, which they are doing, to hopefully make it work.
It will be nice to be in a race with the other boats again, with no elapsed times, multiple finish lines or maths I have to keep working out. Ahead or behind will be much easier to calculate :)
Wish us luck arriving in time and turning around quickly enough before transiting the Panama Canal. Please do also wish us luck in the next race to Bermuda, hopefully we can meet our average points score from before all our problems and race upfront once again :)
Now I’m going to have a lovely sleep to get rested before the race ahead. Night all.
