It’s been a massive achievement to join the race once more. The quickest turnaround of all time, but we managed to get the good ship Qingdao turned around and through the Panama Canal. We stopped in Shelter Bay marina to complete our last paperwork and what a sight!

I speak on behalf of the whole crew when I say thank you to all the teams that saw us arriving and gave us such an ovation. Thank you for your encouragement - it’s been a long and hard day.

We are currently motoring towards the start line and look forward to racing with the rest of the fleet. I'm absolutely shattered. The Panama Canal was an amazing experience, but you'll have to wait until our next skipper blog instalment as my eyes are closing and I'm so looking forward to getting a few hours sleep.
